Located on the banks of the Ganges River, is the ashram known as Parmarth Niketan. Like monasteries, ashrams are places for spiritual retreat. On the banks of the river, it has a 14-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva. It offers the ideal blend of contemporary conveniences with profound spirituality with lovely gardens, sculptures, and a spiritual environment.

We had a wonderful time on our walking tour of Rishikesh with Mithilesh. He is knowledgeable, friendly and helped get us around. The visits to the Beatles Ashram, Parmarth Niketan and Bhootnath Temple were all memorable. It was truly an enjoyable day
